Las Vegas Stars begin play at Cashman Field

The Las Vegas Stars, a Triple-A Pacific Coast League team affiliated with the San Diego Padres, began play in Las Vegas in 1983 and hosted home games at Cashman Field. Cashman Field served as the primary professional baseball venue in the city for decades. The stadium hosted numerous minor-league seasons and community baseball events throughout that period.
