Sands Hotel and the Rat Pack's Copa Room

The Sands Hotel and Casino (demolished 1996) was located on the Las Vegas Strip and its Copa Room became the primary showroom for the Rat Pack-Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., and others-during the 1950s and 1960s. Their performances at the Sands were widely covered in national media and helped define Las Vegas nightlife in that era. The Sands' site is now occupied by the Venetian Resort but the Copa Room's legacy remains a central part of Las Vegas entertainment history.
