Winslow–Haskell Mansion

The Winslow–Haskell Mansion, affectionately known as The Castle, is a stunning Gothic Victorian house located in Newton, Massachusetts. Built around 1870 and later remodeled in 1882, this architectural gem features intricate Gothic pointed-arch windows and a striking three-story tower adorned with Queen Anne styling. The mansion's ornate porches and unique polychrome roofing make it a visual delight. Once owned by Edwin Haskell, the proprietor of the Boston Herald, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 and is part of the Lasell Neighborhood Historic District.
