Cypress Tomb

The Cypress Tomb, also known as Saruwala Maqbara, is an early 18th-century tomb located in Begumpura, Lahore, Pakistan. It is the final resting place of Sharf-un-Nisa Begam, sister of Nawab Zakariya Khan, and was originally constructed as a meditation chamber for her. The tomb features unique architecture with a tapering tower and is adorned with Varanasi tiles depicting cypress trees. Once surrounded by gardens, its accessibility has diminished due to urban development. Recognized as one of Lahore's best-preserved monuments from the late Mughal era, it is a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in Mughal architecture and history.
