Lawyers Building

The Lawyers Building, located at 137 Cadillac Square in downtown Detroit, is a historic office building listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1982. Built in 1922 by John J. Barlum, it originally served middle-class tenants, including unions and benevolent organizations. Known for its Chicago School architectural style, the building features a 10-story structure made of reinforced concrete and steel with terra cotta facades. After undergoing renovations, it reopened as a hotel in 2019, making it a notable landmark for both tourists and researchers interested in Detroit's architectural history.
