Crispus Attucks High School

Crispus Attucks High School was established in 1927 as Indianapolis's public high school for African American students during segregation. Its basketball team, coached by Ray Crowe and featuring Oscar Robertson, won consecutive Indiana high school state championships in 1955 and 1956. The school remains a historic institution in the city and its building is a landmark of African American education in Indianapolis.
