Arctic Winter Games Arena

The Arctic Winter Games Arena, located in Iqaluit, Nunavut, is a 2,500-seat multi-purpose venue that opened in October 2001. Originally built for the 2002 Arctic Winter Games, it now serves as a youth center and hosts various community events. Notable past events include CBC's Hockey Day in Canada in 2003 and a concert by the White Stripes in 2007. The arena has also welcomed professional wrestling events featuring WWE stars. After facing issues with its ice surface in 2006, it underwent significant repairs funded by the Government of Canada in 2009.
