250 Douglas Place

250 Douglas Place is a prominent high-rise apartment building located in Wichita, Kansas, and is the second-tallest building in the state. Originally opened as the Holiday Inn Plaza hotel in 1970, it was part of the Garvey Center development and was the tallest building in Wichita until 1987. The building has a notable history, including a tragic shooting incident in 1976 and a feature in the film King Kung Fu. After transitioning to the Century II Plaza Hotel and undergoing a significant conversion process, it was fully transformed into apartments by 2015 and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, making it an interesting site for both tourists and researchers.
