Gloucester House, Mayfair

Gloucester House is a historic building located at 137 Piccadilly in London, notable for its rich history dating back to the early reign of George III. It served as the exhibition site for the Parthenon Marbles before they were sold to the Crown. The house was once home to notable royals, including Prince William Frederick, Duke of Gloucester and Edinburgh, and later Prince George, Duke of Cambridge. Although the original structure was demolished in 1904, it was rebuilt as apartments in 1938 and is now famous as the location of the first Hard Rock Cafe, which opened in 1971.
