Klots Throwing Company Mill

The Klots Throwing Company Mill, a historic silk mill in Cumberland, Maryland, was constructed between 1902 and 1903 and features a distinctive two-story brick design with double-gable roofs. After its closure in 1972, the mill served various purposes, including housing the Western Maryland Food Bank from 1988 to 2002. Recognized for its historical significance, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2010 and is currently being transformed into loft apartments, making it an interesting site for both tourists and researchers interested in industrial heritage and adaptive reuse.
