Crown King Ranger Station

The Crown King Ranger Station, located near the summit of Crown King Mountain in Arizona, is a historic site built in 1934 by the Civilian Conservation Corps. Recognized for its architectural significance, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1993. Designed in the Bungalow/Craftsman style by the USDA Forest Service, the station served as both housing and office space for government operations. The complex spans 1.5 acres and includes five contributing buildings: a residence, an office, a barn/garage/shop, a hay barn, and a well building. The residence features eight rooms and a full basement, showcasing a unique standard dwelling plan that reflects the era's architectural trends, making it an intriguing destination for tourists and researchers alike.
