Atlas at Rockefeller Center

Atlas is a large bronze sculpture depicting the Titan Atlas bearing the celestial spheres, installed in 1937 at the plaza of Rockefeller Center's International Building. The statue faces Fifth Avenue and St. Patrick's Cathedral and has become an emblematic image of the Rockefeller Center complex. Atlas is a protected historic work and a frequent subject of photographs and seasonal decorations at the site.
