Masonic Hall, York

The Masonic Hall in York, Western Australia, is a heritage-listed building constructed in 1887, making it the oldest surviving lodge building in the state. Originally known as Oddfellows Hall, it was built in the Victorian Academic Classical style and served as a hub for social, musical, and theatrical events until the Town Hall's opening in 1911. The hall has a rich history, having been used by the Oddfellows and later sold to the Freemasons in 1926. After years of community use, it was sold in 2018 and has since been restored to function as an art gallery, with residential space above. The building is recognized on several heritage listings, making it a significant landmark for both tourists and researchers interested in local history and architecture.
