Nathan B. Lattin Farm

The Nathan B. Lattin Farm, located in Newtown, Connecticut, is a historic site that showcases early colonial agricultural life in the 18th century. Spanning 58 acres along the Halfway River, the farm features a Colonial-style farmhouse, an icehouse, and a reproduction barn, all set in a mostly wooded landscape. The farmhouse, built around 1750, retains its original center chimney design and unique stone beehive ovens. Once a family-run farm, it transitioned to a summer residence in the late 19th century and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990, making it a significant attraction for tourists and researchers interested in colonial history and architecture.
