The Trump International Hotel in the Old Post Office building (opened as a hotel in 2016) became a frequent site of protests, vigils, and media coverage during and after the 2016–2020 presidential administration. Demonstrations and news reports outside the hotel, and footage of protesters and counter-protesters on its plaza, were widely circulated on national media and social platforms.
