Musee Mecanique (antique coin‑operated arcade collection)

Musee Mecanique is an extensive museum of antique arcade machines, mechanical musical instruments, and penny arcade artifacts located at Fisherman's Wharf. Many of its hundreds of machines date from the late 19th and early 20th centuries and the collection is one of the largest privately owned assemblages of coin-operated mechanical entertainment in the United States. The museum has been open to the public at Pier 45 for decades and allows visitors to both view and operate many of the historic machines.
