Thomas E. Hess House

The Thomas E. Hess House, located on Arkansas Highway 14 in Marcella, Arkansas, is a historic two-story I-house built in 1900. Notable for its five bays, side gable roof, and decorative porch, the house reflects the architectural style of its era. It was constructed by Thomas E. Hess, the grandson of the area's first white settler. The property also features a barn, stone cellar, and a log corn crib that was originally a schoolhouse. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in local history.
