Stardust Resort (mid-century Strip resort, demolished)

The Stardust Resort and Casino opened on the Las Vegas Strip in 1958 and became notable for its large-scale neon signage and room capacity. The property closed in 2006 and the remaining structures were demolished beginning in 2007, making it a frequently cited example of mid-20th-century resort infrastructure that was removed during later Strip redevelopment. Its long operation and eventual demolition are part of discussions about the Strip's changing built environment.
