Former North Dakota Executive Mansion

The Former North Dakota Executive Mansion, located in Bismarck, is a historic house built in 1893 that served as the official residence for the governors of North Dakota for nearly 67 years. Originally a private home for businessman Asa Fisher, it was sold to the state in 1893 and housed twenty governors until 1960. After a period of use as office space, it was renovated to reflect its 1893 appearance and opened to the public as a State Historic Site in 1983. The mansion is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, making it an interesting destination for tourists and researchers alike.
