Four Mile House (Denver's oldest standing structure)

Built in 1859, the Four Mile House began as a wayside stage stop, toll station, and inn on the road into Denver and is the oldest standing structure within the modern city limits. The building and surrounding property are preserved as Four Mile Historic Park, a museum that interprets mid-19th-century frontier domestic and transportation history.
