United Charities Building

The United Charities Building, located in Manhattan's Gramercy Park neighborhood, is a historic site built in 1893 by banker John Stewart Kennedy for the Charity Organization Society. Designated a National Historic Landmark in 1991, it played a significant role in advancing social welfare policies. The building housed various charitable organizations and provided affordable space for their operations. Architect R. H. Today, it serves multiple purposes, including housing apartments and commercial spaces, while still accommodating some charitable organizations.
