Lynn Hall

Lynn Hall is a historically significant building in Port Allegany, Pennsylvania, originally designed as a restaurant and dance hall in the 1930s by self-taught architect Walter J. Hall. Its Modernist Movement style bears resemblance to Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater, as Hall was involved in that project. After Walter's passing, his son Raymond Viner Hall transformed the building into a studio for aspiring architects, promoting a style known as Allegheny Modernism. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007, Lynn Hall is currently being restored and offers short-term rental accommodations featuring mid-century modern suites with period furnishings and modern amenities, making it an intriguing destination for tourists and researchers alike.
