Everest House

Everest House is a prominent high-rise commercial building located on Chowringhee Road in Kolkata, India. Completed in 1978, it stands at 84 meters (276 feet) tall, making it the second-tallest building in the city's central business district. Originally commissioned to meet the growing demand for premium office space, it features a modern architectural design with a reinforced-concrete frame and a curtain-wall facade of tinted glass and metal panels. The building houses a variety of corporate offices, law firms, and retail outlets, making it a bustling hub of business activity. Although it was once one of the tallest landmarks in Kolkata, it was surpassed by newer developments in 2019. Everest House remains an important part of the city's skyline and a key location for business and commerce.
