Nk'Mip Desert Cultural Centre

The Nk'Mip Desert Cultural Centre, located in Osoyoos, British Columbia, is an interpretive center dedicated to showcasing the unique Okanagan Desert ecosystem and the culture of the Okanagan people. Owned by the Osoyoos Indian Band, the center features interactive exhibits, including reconstructed Aboriginal architecture and a Rattlesnake Research Program supported by Environment Canada. The facility, designed to blend with the desert landscape, boasts North America's largest rammed earth wall and has received numerous architectural awards. Visitors can explore 1.5 km of desert trails and participate in conservation efforts while learning about the region's rich heritage.
