Three States Lumber Company Mill Powerhouse

The Three States Lumber Company Mill Powerhouse, located in Burdette, Arkansas, is a historic industrial site built in 1909. It is the last remaining structure of a once-thriving sawmill that operated from 1906 to 1922. The powerhouse features a distinctive two-story brick section and a single-story concrete section with a smokestack, reflecting its industrial heritage. After the sawmill's closure, the site transitioned into a plantation, and the powerhouse served as the company store. Recognized for its historical significance, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2001, making it an intriguing destination for tourists and researchers interested in industrial history.
