Boston House

The Boston House, also known as Cresthaven, is a historic landmark located in downtown Fort Pierce, Florida. Recognized for its unique blend of Neo-classical and Georgian architecture, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1985. Built in the early 1900s by William T. Jones, a former engineer for Henry Flagler, the house showcases the rich local history and was constructed with materials transported from Georgia. After changing hands during the Great Depression, it was purchased by the McCarty family in 1949, who chose not to reside there. Following a restoration in the mid-1980s, the Boston House now serves as an office for a law firm, while its intriguing past and connection to notable figures like Florida's thirty-first governor, Dan McCarty, continue to captivate visitors and researchers alike.
