Swanwyck

Swanwyck is a historic house located near New Castle, Delaware, built between 1813 and 1819 in the British Regency style. Designed by French immigrant Peter Bauduy for his daughter, Cora, the house features a stuccoed brick exterior and classical details. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. Originally set in farmland, Swanwyck is now surrounded by residential development, with modifications made over the years, including an addition and changes to its entrance. The name 'Swanwyck' is derived from a nearby Dutch settlement, reflecting the area's rich history.
