Roy Villa

Roy Villa, located on Lebong Cart Road in Darjeeling, West Bengal, is a historic four-story building notable as the death place of Sister Nivedita, a disciple of Swami Vivekananda. Built around 115 years ago, it was originally owned by Dwarakanath Roy and has hosted prominent figures like scientist Jagadish Chandra Bose. After years of abandonment, it was revitalized in 2013 when handed over to the Ramakrishna Mission, which now operates various educational and cultural programs from the site. Visitors can explore exhibits related to Sister Nivedita's life and benefit from community services such as free training centers and medical camps, making Roy Villa a significant cultural and historical landmark in North Bengal.
