United States Supreme Court Building

The United States Supreme Court Building, completed and dedicated in 1935, was designed by architect Cass Gilbert in a neoclassical style. The building houses the Supreme Court of the United States and contains the courtroom where the justices hear oral arguments. The building's façade includes the carved inscription 'EQUAL JUSTICE UNDER LAW' above the main entrance.
