Poggio Reale (villa)

The Poggio Reale villa, a stunning 15th-century Renaissance masterpiece in Naples, Italy, was commissioned by Alfonso II as a royal summer residence. Designed by architect Giuliano da Maiano, the villa was celebrated for its elegant architecture and breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, including Mount Vesuvius. Over the centuries, it faced numerous challenges, including invasions, abandonment, and natural disasters, leading to its decline.
