Reporting a Locory

Reporting a Locory is the best way to flag something that looks wrong, misleading, outdated, or inappropriate on the map.

When to report a Locory
  • The location is clearly wrong.
  • The name or description is misleading or inaccurate.
  • The Locory appears to be a duplicate of another place.
  • The entry contains inappropriate, spammy, or low-quality content.
  • The place should no longer appear on the map in its current form.
What makes a helpful report
  • A short explanation of what is wrong.
  • Specific details that help reviewers verify the issue quickly.
  • Enough context to distinguish whether the problem is the location, the content, or the validity of the place itself.
What happens after you report

Reports help draw attention to entries that may need correction or removal. A reviewer can then inspect the Locory and decide whether it should be updated, denied, flagged, archived, or otherwise changed.

Reporting does not usually remove a Locory instantly, but it gives the review process a clear signal that something needs attention.

When not to report

If the place is valid but just needs better wording or more detail, an edit or update may be more appropriate than a report. Reports are most useful when something is actually wrong or needs moderation review.
